Day 7 ~ Me-Made-May 2014

Yesterday was an all-consuming day of events, thus no photos, but today is a little more 'normal' with a trip to the vet for my little companion you met the other day, lunch with my husband, then on to the post office and bank.  Perfect for wearing my rtw re-purposed top with a rtw white tank underneath and my NEWLOOK 6216 pair of chocolate brown pants.  So boring, a pair of brown pants, but so necessary as a basic that goes with everything.
The shirt was a cast-off from my youngest daughter that was heading to the donation bin, when I tried it on, found out it fit, figured out the serged, rolled sleeve hems had to go and simply turned them under and voila! changed the entire look of the shirt.  So strange to think just changing a sleeve hem would change a shirt.
The (boring!) pair of chocolate brown pants are from NEWLOOK 6216, one of my favorite patterns for pants.  The back waist needs to be raised, but other than that, not too much else to say.  LOVE the pockets!!
I recently wore the very same outfit to hike to our tallest elevation in our state of South Carolina USA, Sassafras Mountain.

  1. Cute outfit! Yes basics are boring, but it's great to have pants that fit well and yours look really good.
