Today's afternoon highs projected to reach 91 degrees F, with talk of setting a record to boot, all our gardens needed to be watered well. We grow quite a bit of our food and enjoy having a large vegetable garden as well as pretty flowering plants throughout our landscape. I've already fed and watered the chickens.
I am wearing the sleeveless cotton peasant top I wore the day other to go to lunch and shop with my husband. Today shows the versatility of this hardworking little top. The shorts are rtw. Now I do not wear this when digging in our red clay dirt, but it makes a fine cool little top for mornings like this. At 10:30 am it is already hot.
I need to make a couple more as I enjoy this one so much.
I'm hoping to work on a couple of other me-made projects this afternoon, now that my outside chores are done!
Sleeveless Peasant Top
That is a very pretty top, with a lovely neat fit around the neckline and armholes. Nice match with the shorts.
ReplyDeleteThank you Kathy! I think the fit is one of the things I like most about this little top.
DeleteThis sleeveless peasnat top is really pretty, perfect for warm weather. It's so hot where I live that I wish I had more tank tops like this :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! I have decided there should be more in my closet this summer.
DeleteGosh, early heat - you may be in for a long hot summer - more tops needed, I think, and some nice cotton shorts.
ReplyDeleteThat's what we are afraid of as we tied a record high of 91 degrees F yesterday after I wrote this post. But then this whole last year's weather has been wonky with record lows, then record highs. You are most astute as I just realized I needed some nice cotton shorts as I actually have none! And more tops..... !!!
DeleteYou look great in that color! The top is a nice shape for hot weather, and the fit is flattering.
ReplyDeleteThank you Mary!
DeleteNow, you are finally looking like you are dressed for a Carolina summer! Great little top.
ReplyDeleteThank you Lizzie! I think Winter is officially over!
