Pets on Quilt Show 2014

For the past few years I've drooled over the entries to Lily Pad Quilting's 'Pets on Quilts Shows' and I'm thrilled to be able to participate this year with my 'Dog on Quilt' entry, below, to Lily Pad Quilting's Pets on Quilts Show 2014.

Our toy Maltese, Towa, all of her 6 pounds, resting on my recently finished quilt, wasn't sure she felt like posing for the camera this morning no matter how hard Melissa, my daughter, worked to make all sorts of goofy sounds and faces behind me.  Thank you Melissa for your help!  It was a fun morning taking pictures.
Please take a few minutes and check out the fantastically creative entries to this very fun event.
Thought you might want to see a few more photos from Towa's photo session..... she is clearly unenthused...
....and would look anywhere but directly at the camera....
...."really"....
...."please scratch my tummy"....!
May I also say the very sweet and kind Snoodles, from Lily Pad Quilting, always has some kind of quilty fun going on.  Thank you so much for hosting this fun show!
I'll be posting a complete post about this quilt tomorrow.
UPDATE 8.6.2014:  Post on how this quilt was made can be found here

  1. What a cutie pie your dog is. My last dog weighed in at 92 pounds. I can't begin to imagine a 6 pound pup, so sweet.

  7. She is tiny - I'd be scared of hurting her. Quilts are just the place for tummy rubs, not posing, I think:)

  8. Sometimes our furry companions just do not want to co-operate! Glad you persevered :)

  9. Never have that problem with Rusty. He loves the camera. My problem is keeping him out of some pictures :)

    She is very cute.
