Day 13 / Me-Made-May 2015 / Stripes
A morning walk down one of our trails leading into our woods, listening to all the birds singing 'round. Wearing 'Stripes' NEWLOOK 6110 top with the go-with-anything-and-everything NEWLOOK 6192 skirt. The shirt has thus been named 'stripes' because I had to match stripes at many different intersections with this pattern and it drove me crazy with this oh-so-stretchy and uncooperative knit! It is not a pattern for striped fabric! Never thought to pair this shirt with this skirt. In fact, the shirt had been put into the unwearable pile. Not anymore! After my walk, the gardens were watered, then headed out to lunch with my husband stopping for groceries on the way home. I'll be wearing this comfortable, casual outfit again!
And Buster found a comfy spot for his morning nap.
Hope everyone is having a good day wherever you may be!

A very comfy, casual looking outfit! How nice you can meet your hubby for lunch. I know in just a little bit your weather will be uncomfortably hot, but right now (we had a heavy frost this morning) I'm envying you your flip-flops and summery look.
ReplyDeleteYour frost sounds wonderful as we're into 90 degrees day now. What happened to Spring?!!! Thank you Mama Pea!
DeleteOnce again your color combo is just beautiful! You really have an eye.
ReplyDeleteHi Nancy! Thank you.... as sometimes I feel my colors border on 'boring'. :)
DeleteThe top has a lovely neckline placket. Amazing that you can sew such complicated things in knit. I am not brave at all when it comes to knits.
ReplyDeleteThis was one of the very first things I made when I began sewing garments for myself.... and boy, I'm not sure I really knew what I was getting in to! It wasn't bravery.... maybe it was more like 'ignorance'?! Thanks Erin!
