Quilting and garment sewing ...Thank you Sarah Liz! Quilting and garment sewing seem to be two completely different categories. I like both. To me, each complements the other beautifully so there's no burnout on either one.Lisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09872753120191298033[email protected]tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3748043061128192357.post-91339412049643953232015-03-16T16:17:43.636-04:002015-03-16T16:17:43.636-04:00Hang in there Barbara.... you will find the joy!! ...Hang in there Barbara.... you will find the joy!! I've come to love quilting the more I've pieced and quilted.... with this quilt being pure joy at every step. With your sewing experience you're already way ahead. It's a joy to look at. I'm glad it was also a joy to sew. It's funny how people are either quilters or not, reading the comments above. You've certainly go the knack :)Sarah Lizhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17566072246120028926[email protected]tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3748043061128192357.post-4860069696760255652015-03-12T21:45:29.186-04:002015-03-12T21:45:29.186-04:00It's beautiful, Lisa, and such a perfect refle...It's beautiful, Lisa, and such a perfect reflection of Spring. I've started my first quilt through a Quilting 101 class at a local shop. Gah. It's tedious and I'm finding no joy whatsoever in it. Perhaps when the squares are lined up and I can start playing with color and pattern layout, it'll be more fun. Right now, though, it's a chore to work on it. Your beautiful quilt is an inspiration to me to keep plugging along.Barbarahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06119414203044028919[email protected]tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3748043061128192357.post-67701352526570248422015-03-12T12:54:02.698-04:002015-03-12T12:54:02.698-04:00Thank you Hana!Thank you Hana!Lisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09872753120191298033[email protected]tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3748043061128192357.post-62940744258887841992015-03-12T11:31:09.217-04:002015-03-12T11:31:09.217-04:00This is gorgeous! I practiced this binding technique on a sample piece first, then was ready to go on this quilt and it worked almost 'magically' catching the back perfectly. Buster would show much more enthusiasm if you had put the quilt on the seat of "his" chair so he could test it out up close and personal!! Thanks for sharing this one with all of us. Just adorable!Mama Peahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03649357184167949247[email protected]
