I layer mine with a cami or tank top when out in public. You'd probably like it Kathy. Be sure to choose a soft, drapey fabric. Good eye! Yes, I'd called the Magnolia blossom petals a little 'spongy'! Almost ethereal in the right light. Well, I wouldn't want to frighten a lizard enough to jump on me either! I'm just glad the ones we have here don't bite and are not aggressive. Have a good day too! This is actually my wearable muslin and realized I could've gone down probably 2 sizes, or more.... and will do that next time. The neckline is a little low, so when it's worn in public, I layer a cami or tank top underneath.Lisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09872753120191298033[email protected]tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3748043061128192357.post-92124967109589913802015-05-21T11:27:18.772-04:002015-05-21T11:27:18.772-04:00She is tame and will let you hold her. We ordered this batch from a hatchery and received them as day old baby chicks back in 2009, and my daughter spent a LOT of time handling them when they were young, so all are considered domesticated. We're down to 5 now and when these are gone, this will probably be our last bunch of chickens. I'm ready to not worry about chickens anymore! :) Lisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09872753120191298033[email protected]tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3748043061128192357.post-18216369986580956202015-05-21T11:23:15.776-04:002015-05-21T11:23:15.776-04:00Yes, I live in South Carolina and I've enjoyed...Yes, I live in South Carolina and I've enjoyed meeting you through Me-Made-May this year too! Maybe one day I'll try a toile. Lovely to see your garden and animal life. Our weather is getting chillier as yours gets warmer. I have a longer pair of cargo pants sort of mid calf and they are a bit too warm for sunny days, maybe I should chop off some length.
Your magnolia flower looks so pretty, I like flowers like these where the petals are a bit spongy? Glad that you have protected the chicken from bullying, maybe that's why she follows you around :)
I'm afraid of lizards, there are lots of them in the gardens and parks where I walk :( I always keep an eye out for them so that we don't frighten each other :)
Have a good day, may the rains come soon!opportunityknitshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07117079481971682582[email protected]tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3748043061128192357.post-78811262593989284302015-05-20T18:56:51.304-04:002015-05-20T18:56:51.304-04:00Beautiful magnolia's and petunias - they steal...Beautiful magnolia's and petunias - they steal the show today, I am afraid :). Your garden must be lovely, merging into the landscape around. I miss the country life, I am afraid.

The Rachel Comey top is always wearable - strange, because at first wear, it's hardly love at first sight! I love plants a lot (animals too but more plants :))and I love to know what's growing now in other places of the world. It's a bit sad that your magnolia trees don't grow here as it gets too cold in winter but we have a different type that also produces beautiful and fragrant blooms.
Enjoy your day inside.
