I think some of the older patterns are real treasures. How lucky you were to experience the total eclipse especially with your daughter. The blouse is very flattering on you, I like the collar a lot! <br />What a big event the solar eclipse was! And how dark it got. Marvin is in NC at the moment and sent me photos, but it wasn't nearly as dark there!Fröbelinahttp://froebelina.de/en[email protected]tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3748043061128192357.post-29202267796510416352017-08-22T22:10:14.709-04:002017-08-22T22:10:14.709-04:00It's very beautiful! The collar is lovely as is the fit. It's nice to see it dressed up and down too. I am rather partial to tencel and its variations so can appreciate this fabric. Your eclipse experience looks epic. I always forget about white but when I put on a white blouse I remember how much I love it's crispness and coolness too on a hot summer day. I was on a blouse making mission for months which seems to have abated for a while anyway :) I found 2 Burda patterns recently in our local thrift shop for $1.50 each - unopened and just my style. I was astounded but 10 cents really does take the prize :)PsychicSewerKathleenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06911914507722968930[email protected]tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3748043061128192357.post-85908552102254584302017-08-22T16:52:00.401-04:002017-08-22T16:52:00.401-04:00Your new blouse is the farthest thing from "d...Your new blouse is the farthest thing from "dated!" It's a beautiful style on you and I'm sure you'll be wearing it a lot. (You look good in wood pulp. ;o)) Love the cap sleeves on you. I've seen Tencel clothing advertised in all the ready to wear catalogs and it seems very expensive.Mama Peahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03649357184167949247[email protected]tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3748043061128192357.post-18776218732207427012017-08-22T03:48:54.908-04:002017-08-22T03:48:54.908-04:00Your blouse has got lovely details and is spot on....Your blouse has got lovely details and is spot on. Never can have enough white blouses. I love reading your stories behind your makes! Tencel or Lyocel is seen more and more in RTW here. I haven't worn it yet but your definition sounds like one of a perfect fabric. The eclipse moment is surreal and a little frightening, no?PaisleyPirouettehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01304501789906519091[email protected]tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3748043061128192357.post-40703147041285643292017-08-21T23:46:05.906-04:002017-08-21T23:46:05.906-04:00I agree, this is a totally classic blouse, and you...I agree, this is a totally classic blouse, and you will wear it a lot. Lyocell, Tencel, Rayon - all made from cellulose - either wood pulp, and sometimes recycled cotton. It's a very cool fabric to wear as it absorbs a lot of moisture. Just not as hard wearing as cotton, and much more slippery to sew. The eclipse is amazing - looks quite spooky.Sarah Lizhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17566072246120028926[email protected]
